The Board has established a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) comprised of school representatives from each school and workplace location. The representatives are responsible for implementing safe work practices, reviewing health and safety procedures and identify safety issues. The representatives conduct worksite inspections on a monthly basis and discuss their findings at the monthly meetings to proactively address issues before they occur.
If you notice a safety concern or issue at your workplace location you are responsible for reporting the incident to your Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee Member or your supervisor.
