Kenora Catholic’s Anishinaabe Omiinigoziiwin language App is free to download at the App Store by searching ‘Niin.’
The App was created as a collaborative project with area Elders, students and teachers in the dialect and culture of the Treaty #3 area. The goal of the App is to help restore and revitalize the Anishinaabe language. The App is available as a free resource to help people learn the local dialect of the Anishinaabemowin language, culture and traditions.
It’s the only one of its kind in the local dialect of the Treaty #3 area. The App’s name Anishinaabe Omiinigoziiwin is translated to mean the Anishinaabe language is a gift that we were given.
